About Me

My name is Natalie (she/her/hers). I spent the start of my career working in numerous Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs, with training in evidence-based treatment for a wide variety of diagnoses. Through my journey into becoming a therapist, I also discovered that I have ADHD. I learned that I greatly enjoy altering existing treatment approaches to fit the needs of fellow ADHDers, and of Autistic people.

I support adults of all neurotypes with a wide variety of experiences including stress, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, OCD, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. My key specialty area is the interaction of anxiety/OCD with ADHD. I have lived experience with many of the concerns I treat.

I am LGBTQ-affirming and poly-friendly. I am able to assess for and write letters of readiness for gender affirming care, for new and established clients.

My primary lens is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), where the goal is to focus your energy on building the life you want, while gently accepting the emotions and human struggles that come with that. This approach has a humanistic and strengths-based therapy stance. Sessions can include reflection on life patterns & struggles, mindfulness practices, self-compassion, exposure, behavioral activation, and other coping skills to help you increase your sense of self-efficacy, meaning, and contentment.

I support the Neurodiversity paradigm, which (among other things) views Autism and ADHD as natural human variations in brain wiring, with costs and benefits like any other variation. From this view, ADHD and Autism are disabilities due to the high demands of our current society, but are not innately good or bad in themselves. I love finding the balance between acceptance of our unique brains, vs. exploring areas where we can change in a healthy way. To this end, I balance gradual behavior change with making sure we accept & accommodate the unique needs that come with ADHD & Autism. (Click here for an article on how this works with ERP specifically.)

Please note that I can make diagnoses based on clinical judgment over time, but I do not offer “neuropsychological assessments” for standalone Autism/ADHD diagnosis, as these are typically done by a Doctorate-level clinician.

Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy doing various art projects, board games, Ultimate frisbee, Live Action Role-Play (LARP), and singing silly songs to my cat, Elspeth!
